Where are fire doors required?
• To comply with Building Regulations, within homes over 2 storeys high, FD30 fire doors must be present in every habitable room leading to a stairwell.
• Renovated or new build homes with 3 or more storeys, must have FD30 fire doors fitted to every habitable room leading to a stairwell.
• 2 storey houses with an integral garage must fit an FD30 fire door between the house and the garage.

How long do fire doors last?
FD30 fire rated composite doors are tested to resist fire and smoke up to 30 minutes.
FD60 fire rated timber doors are tested to resist fire and smoke up to 1 hour.
